Roads of Chile

In January and February I was in Chili, mainly for the task to photograph the works on new high roads that are created there to connect the main towns in this very 4500 km long country. This may sound a silly task until you see through what type of country this is done. The North of Chili is a place of dessert, stretching from the high mountains of the Andes up to the sea. Hills of sand and rock. No green to be seen. These images made around the town of Iquique show how spectacular these works are. Well worth to be seen.
